We are pleased to announce the publication of the article “Evaluating the impact of a peer-education digital literacy course on older adults’ digital skills and wellbeing: a mixed-methods study protocol“.
In this contribution we detail the research strategy of our study “Older people, new needs, and possible solutions: A pilot study on peer-to-peer digital education.”
Between March and June 2024, we organized peer-education smartphone classes for older adults. In this article, we describe how we measured this intervention using three techniques:
🔹 an app installed on participants’ phones measured usage habits before, during, and after the course;
🔹a pre- and post-intervention survey covered participants’ perceptions of wellbeing;
🔹participant observation was conducted during classes by a researcher from our team
